Application methods
Start with clean, dry and properly sanded bare wood. Stir the finish well.
White pad: Work a very thin coat into the wood in circular or figure-eight motions. Use a clean white pad to even the surface and remove wet excess, rings or swirl marks. Let it dry for 8–10 hours with good ventilation and repeat according to the application amount required for the wood.
Lint-free cloth: Rub a very thin coat into the wood, allow it to penetrate and wipe away all excess with a clean lint-free cloth. Apply additional thin coats only after the previous coat has dried.
Do not substitute the generic brush or roller directions printed for other Polyx-Oil formulations. Osmo Canada's 2025/26 brochure specifically limits 3054 to cloth or white-pad application.
Cleaning and maintenance
Use Wash and Care for floors and Spray Cleaner for smaller surfaces. Use Liquid Wax Cleaner for scuffs and Maintenance Oil when a clean, intact surface needs refreshing.
Good to know
Test the full application schedule on the actual wood. Over-application or material left sitting on the surface can delay drying and leave a tacky finish. Dispose of oil-soaked cloths and pads according to the current container directions.
