Osmo Polyx-Oil Tints adds color and hardwax-oil protection in the same finish. It leaves the wood grain visible, dries to a matte sheen and can be used on hardwood floors, stairs, furniture, trim, OSB and cork flooring. Unlike Oil Stain, it does not require a separate clear topcoat for normal use.

Application methods
Brush or microfiber roller: Start with properly sanded, clean and dry bare wood. Stir thoroughly and apply a thin, even coat with the grain. Smooth lap marks while the finish is wet; corrections can generally be made within 30 minutes. Osmo's current instructions say not to wipe off this brush- or roller-applied coat. Let it dry for 12–24 hours with good ventilation, then apply the second coat the same way.
White pad: Work the finish into the wood in circular or figure-eight motions. Buff with a clean white pad until the color is even and there are no rings, swirls or wet excess. Apply three to four thin coats with 12–24 hours between coats. This method is better for lower-wear work; Osmo recommends brush or roller for floors, stairs, tabletops and countertops.
A third brush or roller coat is not normally needed. Contact Osmo technical support before adding one to very dry or absorbent wood.
Cleaning and maintenance
Use Wash and Care on floors and Spray Cleaner on smaller surfaces. Clean scuffs with Liquid Wax Cleaner and refresh worn floors with the appropriate Maintenance Oil. Avoid damp mopping and rugs until the finish has cured.
Good to know
Color varies with species, sanding and application tool. Test the full coat schedule on the actual wood. Raw 3051 and White 3040 require particular care on dark or red-toned woods.
